Sunday Morning Services
Sundays, 10:00-11:45am
We’re so glad that you are here. Our website gives a glimpse into who we are, but nothing is like meeting us in person – so plan a visit to meet us!
Celebration is a Christ-centered and gospel-focused church made up of people from different generations, denominations, and cultural backgrounds, all united around the desire to know Jesus and become more like him.
Jesus is at the center of everything we do, as a community and as individuals. You will hear us talk a lot about him, whether you join us for our 10:00am Sunday Service or our 9:30am Liturgical Wednesday Communion service. We are devoted to exalting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour.
Our commitment to love and to unity within the wider body of Christ is reflected in our expression of the different traditions of the charismatic, evangelical and historical streams in our gatherings. You will encounter us worshipping Jesus passionately in song, creating room for the expression of spiritual gifts, dedicating ourselves to the gospel as revealed in the Bible, and celebrating our unity with Jesus in the Sacraments of the church (Communion and Baptism).
Jesus is the one that makes the church glorious (Eph 5:27), which means that even though our community is filled with imperfect people in need of God’s amazing grace, we are committed to building Christ’s dream – a glorious church.
Our hope is that Celebration will be a place where you feel welcome, encouraged, and equipped – where you can encounter Jesus himself, be a part of a church family that cares for you and find a place you can call home.
If you’re new to Celebration Church, I’d love to invite you for a coffee or tea and connect with you! Please feel free to email me at nico@redroof.tv or come and introduce yourself to me on a Sunday morning.
Grace and peace,
Nico Deschner +
Lead Pastor
What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in! People at Celebration wear jeans, leggings, hoodies, all the way to button up shirts or dresses. There is no dress code.
Where do I park?
Feel free to use our parking lot! There's lots of room.
What do I do when I come inside?
When you come inside, you'll be greeted at the inside door by a friendly face. Let them know it's your first time here! They will be thrilled and help you find a seat and make sure you are comfortable.
What happens in a service?
Our service begins with a short welcome & intro, followed by a time where we worship Jesus in song. The kids are invited to come to their classes before or after the worship. Following the worship, there will be a Bible reading. After that, one of our pastors will teach for 20-30 minutes. Throughout our services, we engage in call-and-response prayers, (don't worry, everything is projected on the screen, you don't need to memorize anything!) We do this because we believe it is important for everyone to participate in worship, not just spectate.
Community is very important to us, so before and after the service there is lots of time to visit with each other!
What do the kids do?
Kids are welcome to stay in the main service, but there is special programming for them during most services. After worshipping in the main service, kids get to join other children in our back classrooms and learn about Jesus in fun, interactive ways.
If you want to join your child to see what happens during the Kids Ministry, you can come and observe! Make sure you let Pastor Kristen know if you want to observe - you can email her at kristen@redroof.tv, or find her on Sunday morning.
Are my kids safe?
Your children are in good hands; we understand how important it is to keep your children safe, so we do everything we can: All of our Children's Ministry Volunteers are screened before volunteering and must have minimum of 2 references; all of our volunteers must have clean Criminal Record Checks and Vulnerable Sector Checks, and they all take Abuse Prevention in Classroom Training. Our classrooms all have sight lines from the hallway and we have hallway monitors. Our classrooms are also nut-aware; please let us know if there are any allergies we should be aware of so your child is safe.
To ensure your child's safety, please go to the check-in table in the foyer and register your child before the service. We will register them in our system and get them a name tag; parents receive a matching name tag so that only the parent/guardian that dropped off the child can pick them up.
Pastor Kristen, our Children's Pastor, is First Aid certified. If you have any more questions about your kids, contact Pastor Kristen.
