Chris Griffin was born in Montreal Quebec. His family moved west in the 1970’s following the first referendum and the death of his oldest brother. After living in several locations his family settled in Regina which Chris calls home. After high school Chris moved Peterborough, Ontario, to attend Eastern Pentecostal Bible College and completed a Bachelor of Theology degree. In his final year Lynette and Chris were married. In 2025 they will have been married 34 years. After completing his degree, they moved back to Saskatchewan to pastor a couple of churches. Eventually returning to Regina, Chris completed a Bachelor of Social Work degree and has worked for the Ministry of Social Services for the past 25 years. Lynette and Chris have 3 boys, Caleb, Davin, and Isaac. The Griffin family has attended Celebration Church for the last 10 years. They really love how our church is bringing together the church family of Regina and hope to serve in whatever way Christ calls them to do so.  Philippians 4:4-7 is one of Chris’ favourite scripture passages.

I was born and raised here in Regina and accepted the Lord as my personal saviour at a very young age. I have spent many hours and weekends as a child and youth going to events and camps that have help to build the foundation of my faith. I have been part of the Celebration family for the last 14 years. I have served at Celebration as part of the Children’s Ministry VBS team, the worship and music ministry teams and with the former Lighthouse Ministry team. More recently, I have had the honour and privilege of serving on the Board of Directors. The past three years on the board have been full of learning, discerning, listening to God and growing in Him. I have seen many changes come to Celebration in the time that I’ve been here and the one thing I am certain about is that God has a plan for this community and congregation and He has been making things happen, both expected and unexpected, to lead us closer towards what He has in store for us and the city of Regina. It has been an amazing three years serving on the Board and I would consider it an honour and privilege to be elected for another term. Celebration, thank you all for your prayers, encouragement and support.

My wife Joni and our 2 kids Josh and Paige began attending Celebration in August of 2019. When I was in my early 20s, a Pastor of a small church in a small town made this statement to me. “What the church needs are people that are willing to serve. Willing to say yes and not just to things you want to do.” Since then, I have tried to say yes.

Some things I have said yes to are teaching Sunday School working with young adults, small groups. Some of the areas at Celebration have been Alpha, VPM, Youth and filling in for Warren.
